KnowMe ("the app") is operated by Ana. Questions, or any request about your data: an.developer.0@gmail.com.
We do not ask for your contacts, your location, your camera or your microphone.
Challenges are written by Google Gemini. When you create one, we send the challenge type, the difficulty, the first name you entered, and any topic or note you typed. We do not send your email address, your friends list or your messages. The same provider also checks text for abuse, and writes the one-line reaction on a result screen.
People you are friends with can see the challenges you publish, your display name and username, and the scores on challenges you both played. Anyone you send a challenge link to can play it. Your answer key — which answers you marked true — is visible only to you until someone finishes the challenge and sees their own result.
Until you delete it. Deleting a challenge deletes its questions and every result scored against it. Deleting your account removes your profile, your challenges, your results, your friendships and your messages. Both are in the app: Settings › Delete my account, and the exact list of what goes and what is kept is on the account deletion page.
On Supabase (Postgres and storage) in eu-west-1, and on the AI provider's servers for the duration of a request. Push notifications go through Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android and Apple Push Notification service on iOS.
You can see and change your profile in the app, export or delete your data by writing to the address above, and delete everything yourself from Settings. If you are in the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you rights of access, correction, erasure, portability and objection; our legal basis is the contract between us for the parts the app cannot work without, and your consent for analytics and notifications.
KnowMe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
